The art of enamel miniature exists in Limoges, France and Rostov, Russia. Miniatures are painted on ceramic covered copper plate and heat treated in oven several times in a process. It requires not only good painting skills, but also knowlege of traditional sectets of each color heating and takes up to a week to create a multy-color painting. If overheated, the paint would spread, and because it's melting into ceramic, the whole picture would be lost. Most of silverworks are handmade. The other field of our work is limited edition and custom made swiss movement desk clocks.

The Attitude of the Armenian Church to the Holy Icons

To what extent the Christology of the Armenian Church expressing iconoclastic attitudes?

Obviously consecrated paintings used in Church are helping believers in there prays. The praying must be offered not to material part of the image, but the Christ Himself, and before images of Mary and the saints prays should be brought to Christ, because the Virgin Mary and the saints can only play the role of intermediaries. There can not be any transformation of Holy Spirit in to particular item and therefore there is no miracles or healings power that can lie with any painting. That is why those paintings in Church placed beyond of worshipers reach because to avoid any kissing or touching attempts by some believers in expectation to receive something that it can’t bear as a material object. There is no any painting in any Church that deserve more attention than any painting in other Church. All of them are same in there helpful mission.
